In my early agency days, my design company published a quarterly magazine for over 5 years. I learned a lot about the process. My client’s magazine helped support the growth of my agency, hire employees, and locate in a fantastic office. That was Airliners Magazine, a specialized publication subscribed to by global airline enthusiasts. As the magazine grew larger, it eventually needed to be produced in an international publishing house. I then migrated my outreach toward creating local business directories, maps, catalogs, and other smaller-scale magazines. My company also published books including full design of the page formats and covers. More recently, I have worked with Create Space (Amazon) and other on-line publishing services to print my client’s books. I have also worked with Issu (Online Magazine).
Directories
Some of the directories I published include The Apple Hill Growers Association, Amador Vintners Association, and El Dorado Wine Grape Growers, and El Dorado County Chamber of Commerce, Business Volunteers for the Arts and more.
